Child-proofing comes in many forms.
In the Nursery:- Place cribs away from windows and
window covering cords
- Keep hanging pictures and decorations out of a child’s reach; nails and hooks can easily
fall down into the crib posing a choking hazard
Stairways and “Off-Limit” Rooms:- Never
use a pressure gate of any kind at the top of a staircase
- Gates need to be installed into the wall at the top of the
stairs
Windows:- Never depend on window screens to prevent children from falling
- Move
all furniture away from windows
Remember that molds, dust mites, cat dander, and cockroach allergens can all cause
allergic reactions.
The tendency to develop allergies may be inherited. If you have allergic tendencies and are
exposed to certain things in your environment (allergens), you may develop allergies. Depending on your family history, age
and environment, allergy testing may be necessary.
We, at Florida Mold Inspections, Inc. believe that the
best defense may be testing your home for molds, dust mites, cat dander and cockroach allergens. Bringing a newborn into a
new crib, dressed in new clothes and into an old home – why would you not want to test the indoor environment?
